Entries for WERL training now open

WERL2The Women’s Eastern Racing League training day at Redbridge on the 15th of March proved to be such a success (despite the weather!) that the organisers immediately set about putting together a second session, due to take place at the same venue on the 10th of May.

British Cycling Level 3 coach Huw Williams will once again be conducting the session, which consists of theory sessions in the Centre’s lecture room (it’s really a lot less like being back at school than it sounds) followed by track time in which riders get to test out what they’ve learned on the purpose-built circuit. Expert riders accompanying participants to give advice will be Tanya Griffiths of Velosure-Starley Primal, the winner of last year’s Tickhill GP, and Nikki Juniper of Giordana-Triton (winner of the 2014 Women’s Road Series) – both of whom have a wealth of experience in cycling.

The cost is £20 plus a £1.85 admin fee: excellent value for a high-quality four hour session. 26 places remain at the time of writing, but with all the riders who attended the first session recommending it to friends on Twitter and Facebook the event is likely to sell out far quicker this time around. Secure your place via EventBrite.

All 30 places were filled for the first WERL training day – and they’re likely to be filled even faster this time!
