Neutral Service’s Hero of the Race – definitely Francesca Cutts of Team LDN, who spent most of the race on her own out in front before being caught and overpowered in the sprint by James. Francesca, who moved up into the Over-23 category at the start of the 2018 season, has long been known to be a very good rider indeed, as can be seen by the consistently good results she’s taken in a wide variety of races since 2016; we think that over the next couple of years as she enters her best years she’s going to become a considerable talent. Definitely a rider to keep an eye on.
