Wiggle-Honda sprinter Giorgia Bronzini doesn’t really need an introduction: she was World Road Race Champion in 2010 and 2011 and has won stages at the Giro Donne, the Tour of Qatar, the Giro del Trentino Alto Adige-Südtirol and the Trophée d’Or Féminin, as well as an incredible six consecutive stages (a world record) at the 2013 Route de France. Giorgia enjoys enormous popularity, and not only because of her stellar palmares – she’s also one of the friendliest riders around, and can often be found chatting with fans on Twitter.
When did you know you wanted to become a professional rider?
I thinked about that when I was 18 years old… Juniors category … My dream was go to the Olympic game!
What do you love the most about the sport?
I love make some sacrifice for have a really satisfaction and be in the middle of a big peloton of really funny world!
What does the future hold for women’s cycling? Are you optimistic or pessimistic?
I’m optimistic about that… Already in this years we keep so much attention and we will work hard for become better then now!
When you retire from competition, would you like to stay involved with cycling in some capacity, perhaps as a National Federation official?
Yes I would like so much… Overall work with the young girls and give to them so much of my experience..and would be my dream be involved in the federation… Also the stranger one… Maybe in the track world!
In 2013, a lot of fans have been getting more involved in women’s cycling by helping to promote races and riders. Do you have any suggestions what we can do to help even more?
I would like that some farm of brend of woman things come in our worlds!
I’ve heard a rumour that you’re a bit of a joker, known for playing pranks on team mates. Is that true – and if it is, do you have any good stories?
Ah ah is a secrets…anyone that want know my crazy head… Is welcome in my team…
I really like joke with my team mate… For them need to be a pleasure work together and the victory is for the team… No mine!

Anything special some cooking book!
